F1 Ferrari 248

The Formula One race vehicle known as the Ferrari 248 F1 was designed by Rory Byrne and Aldo Costa. It was first released in the year 2006 for the race season.
The Ferrari 248 F1 takes its name from its V8 Configuration. The capacity in deciliters is twenty four, while eight is its number of cylinders. The name of the automobile represents a definitive break with the F200x system that was employed between the years of 2001 and 2005. It effectively returns to a system that had been used before in the ‘50s and ‘60s by Ferrari.

The Ferrari 248 F1 was driven by Felipe Massa and Michael Schumacher. The Ferrari 248 F1 was the first Ferrari since the Ferrari F1 2000 that did not wear the Number One to denote that the driver was the current world champion. The vehicle also sported new sponsor decals, such as Martini.

The Ferrari 248 F1 was intended to be an update of the Ferrari F2005, which had been released the previous year. While the V8 Configuration utilized on the Ferrari 248 F1 was a lot shorter than the V10 used on the Ferrari F2005, both vehicles sport the same wheelbase.

Miss Universe Australia model controversy

Australia's Miss Universe contest was thrown into controversy on Thursday with doctors and dieticians complaining a leading finalist was "skin and bones" and dangerously malnourished.

Sydney model Stephanie Naumoska, 19, was one of 32 contestants from more than 7,000 hopefuls to make the glittering final at an event promoting "healthy, proportioned, bodies."

"Bony or beautiful?" newspaper headlines said over photographs of a gaunt Naumoska posing in a red string bikini.
Health professionals said Naumoska, who is 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) tall and weighs just 49 kg (108 lbs), had a body mass index of just 15.1, well under the official 18 benchmark for malnutrition.

"She would be categorized as underweight and I would certainly want to be doing an assessment of her diet to make sure she doesn't have some type of eating disorder," dietician Melanie McGrice told local newspapers.

"She needs blood tests, diet analysis and an overall assessment."

Pageant director Deborah Miller said brunette Naumoska, who was defeated in the final by 20-year-old television presenter and model Rachael Finch, had Macedonian heritage, which accounted for her extreme thinness.

"They have long, lithe bodies and small bones. It is their body type, just like Asian girls tend to be small," Miller said.

But Australian Medical Association president Rosanna Capolingua, whose organization represents Australian doctors, said the contest should impose a minimum BMI cut-off of 20.

"The most unhealthy part about it, though, is the image it is showing other young women who may view this as normal, when clearly it s not," Capolingua said.

While Naumoska refused to speak to media, nutritionist Susie Burrell told the Herald Sun newspaper there was no such thing as a Macedonian body type.

Angola is blessed with spectacular landscapes

Angola is blessed with spectacular landscapes, from the magnificent Namib Desert to the wild, soaring dunes of the Atlantic. It is also home to some of the most traditional tribes in all of Africa, including the semi-nomadic Cuanhama and Modimba people, who live a traditional pastoral existence far from the modern world. Our expedition explores the southwestern corner of Angola, traveling off-road by 4WD vehicle on rugged tracks that bring us from the wild coast deep into the desert. From our remote camps in amazing wilderness settings, we savor the desert silence, and on daily hikes, meet the friendly tribal people who thrive in this remote world. The cultural encounters and pure beauty of the untouched environment make this one of the most incredible destinations in the world! Our journey ends in beautiful Namibia, where we enjoy the comforts of a delightful lodge and meet Namibia’s traditional Himba people.

Celebrity Cruises is offering agents the chance to win a luxury goody bag containing designer sunglasses, iTunes vouchers, a bottle of champagne and delicious Hotel Chocolat confectionary every day from now until 30 June. in addition, every week throughout June one lucky winner will also win an iPad 2, a designer watch and a digital camera. Courtesy of Celebrity Cruises, the luxury prize draw is in conjunction with the 2012 – 2013 worldwide brochure launch.

Summer 2012 will see five Celebrity Cruises ships in Europe, including the brand new Celebrity Cruises Silhouette, based in Rome from July, and Celebrity Eclipse based from Southampton for the third consecutive year. new itineraries include:

12-night Eastern Mediterranean & Greek Isles, Adriatic and Italy and Croatia sailings onboard Celebrity Silhouette14-night Canaries & Azores and Iceland & Fjords and 8 night Norwegian Fjords sailings onboard Celebrity Cruises Eclipse.

The shiny new Celebrity Cruises Silhouette will welcome passengers for the first time later this month in Germany but that’s the easy part for one of the world’s premium cruise lines. Silhouette departed the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany for open seas this week but not before completing a 26-mile navigation of the River Ems where she had less than five feet of room to maneuver at certain points.
With various locks and tight passages to navigate, Celebrity Cruises Silhouette was required to travel on an aqueduct over an autobahn (motorway) at one point. Power lines and railway tracks normally passing over the river were removed and the tide was measured closely to ensure it was high enough to ensure safe passage. Travelling at less than 4 miles per hour, the most challenging voyage Celebrity Silhouette is set to embark on, took 12 hours to complete.
By combining a premium culinary experience with the sensation of relaxing on the top deck of a ship, surrounded by live grass and cool ocean breezes,Celebrity Cruises ’s aim is to celebrate the passion people have for grilling, as they enjoy their precious vacation time. The highlight of the dining experience at the 58-seat Lawn Club Grill will be the opportunity for guests to serve as their party’s “Grill Master,” by being paired with a Celebrity Cruises chef to assist in preparing the menu for their table over custom-built, ventilated grills. This unique, one-on-one interaction will give the Grill Master a one-of-a-kind, firsthand lesson in proper grilling techniques and other tricks of the grilling trade. All guests will have the opportunity to choose from a gourmet salad bar, a la carte “build your own” pizzas and more than 12 grilled specialties.

Humanitarian Advocacy:

Everyone knows that in the Arab world and also in my country Tunisia (where the Arab Spring started) people are working to develop democracy through various forms of revolutions. Many young people in my country are highly trained and possess qualifications but are barely able to get a job due to gender discriminiation, corruption, and poor economy. This pageant comes at a perfect time to advocate against these ills and so my focus shall be on WOMEN'S RIGHTS. Women should be entitled to the same freedoms experienced by men. In some countries the rights of women have been engrained in the laws of the land, is part of culture or a way of life while in other women are severely oppressed. Women are entitled to an education, the ability to vote, to be paid fair salaries, choice to change religion or serve in jobs previously dominated by men. During this pageant I shall be advocating strongly on behalf of not only Tunisian women but women around the world who feel suppresed.
